Appearance;;
Shane is chubby and awkward. He looks awkward and moves awkward. His shoulder-length blond hair usually goes unbrushed (or, at best, lightly brushed to remove surface knots) and it kept up in a ponytail to keep it away from his face. It's clear that the boy has very little care for his looks. Shane would have a beard if he could grow one, but instead he has a bit of thin blond chin stubble.
Shane's clothes consist mostly of WoW or Halo shirts, although he has a few other videogame-related shirts. He's not so messy that his clothes are covered in stains, but the shirts so heavy signs of wear. Shane is also not such an enemy to hygiene that he gives off a potent smell, although there is a clear hint of BO under all the Axe to people who have really good senses of smell.Clouds - we will chase them out

Video games he likes: WoW, Halo, Left for Dead, Call of Duty, Street Fighter 4
dislikes;; people disagreeing with him (especially about WoW and music), "too much" hygiene (hair care and shaving especially), working and jobs in general, "casual" gamers, children on xBox live, kids in general
Bands he hates: Metallica, Slipknot, Korn, Ozzy's new stuff
Personality;;
Shane isn't shy. He just as loudmouthed as his parents are, and he cannot help but pipe up and add his two cents, even when the conversation didn't include him. He's incredibly thick and sometimes doesn't even pick up on obvious jabs at him, or requests to mind his own business. Shane is an opinionated dick, but has a strange fear of being pitied or hated. He doesn't completely get the connection between him insulting people and their disliking him, because he had been told by all those TV shows that being yourself was what made people like other people.
One of the biggest things about Shane is that he's a compulsive liar. He doesn't sense hatred, but he's not so thick that he can't figure out that he's at least not liked. He tells lies because he thinks it'll make people like him. Usually his lies are about events. He completed in a professional Halo tournament and got second place, or that they had to airlift a cow off the roof of his old school. Things like that.
In the end, Shane is a very insecure child who drives people away with his attempts to be likable. He also defines himself way too much on his interests and is too obsessive, so if the lies and insults don't get to people, the monotony probably will.Our home forever is outer space

History;;
Shane was born the youngest of 5. His 4 older siblings were not significantly older than he was; the oldest was 7, and the youngest wasn't quite 1 yet. Growing up, his older brothers liked to pick on him because he was so much younger and fairly weak. His sisters didn't like to play with him because he was an "icky boy" and they had each other. His mother clearly made him her favorite, getting him the better gifts. It was mostly because she knew that the others didn't get along with him, but that only made everything worse.
As for Shane's father, he never really was around for the family. He was either constantly working or out with friends at the bar. Unsurprisingly, this caused a lot of fights between his parents. The pair never got divorced, although they "discussed" (usually while yelling around midnight) it, they never got divorced. They said it was for the kids, but in the end, they couldn't. Barbara couldn't raise the children without the money that Alan brought in, and Alan didn't have the will to start again. Or pay child support.
Besides the yelling, both of Shane's parents were loud and opinionated people. This may have helped them stay together, since they generally agreed with each other. Growing up, nothing was really private. There was his parents' yelling, the tiny house crowded with children, and the general lack of respect his siblings had for anyone else.
Shane had a hard time in school because he had difficulty properly communicating with other children. He bullied all the kids he wanted to be friends with. After all the discipline he got at school for acting that way, he eventually learned to tone it down, but he never lost the worst habits.
Despite the fact that they ignored him, Shane idolized his brothers. He'd play their video games when they were gone, which prompted their mother to buy him his own xBox 360 when she saw that he really liked it. She also funded his World of Warcraft addiction when she could. He got the game for his 12th birthday and has played it every day since, minus a few months when he couldn't afford the monthly fee.
Toward the end of his middle school career, Shane got expelled for fighting. He said he was defending himself, but really, he had inserted himself into a situation with the kids he had considered the "cool" group and got his interests insulted, and reacted by punching one of them. Shane's father had a nice, long yell at his youngest son. Nobody really wanted to uproot and move, but they really had no choice. Barbara homeschooled Shane until they found a home in Highview County, and he could start middle school there.
Since then, there have been no big incidents. Shane wouldn't imagine punching someone for fear of what his brothers would do if they had to move again.Ground we don't want to feel
Found what they didn't steal
Time, we were really lost
Bridges burnt, fingers crossed
rp sample;;Shane sat at his computer in his room. It was in the basement. He told people he chose it because it was quiter, but he could hear every single step from the living room upstairs. His siblings had all gotten first pick of rooms, even though everyone but Samantha was off to college most of the time. So he was stuck in the basement, where it was not only loud, but cold and damp.
It didn't matter though. His mom felt bad for him and had paid for a year of WoW to make it up to him. Of course, WoW didn't help him with his math homework, but he figured he'd do it later. He had obligations, after all, to his guild. He was their best tank.
The phone rang somewhere upstairs, but it may as well have been in his room. Shane groaned as he heard his mother stomp over to it and pick it up. To his own surprise, she yelled his name. Not that she really needed to. Stupid house.
"I'm busy! Bring it to me!" Shane called, and his mother brought the cordless down and handed it to him. He wedged it between his shoulder and his cheek.
