Lindsay couldn't help but smile. Lukas had gotten back last night, and so they were spending the day together today. Big shocker, Lukas wanted to spend the day at the park. With his 'football'. Lindsay was just happy to actually have him home- she hadn't seen him in a week, so naturally she had missed him -so she relented. Now they were in the park, Lindsay toting her skateboard and Lukas with a ball in hand.
Mid step, she dropped her skateboard onto the ground and stepped onto it easily, rolling along next to Lukas, pushing a black converse clad foot on the ground to propel her forward and help her keep up with the giant she called her boyfriend. As she rolled, she zipped up her jacket, one Lukas had picked out for her- a black hoodie with the german flag embroidered on the back. Of course, it also had Lukas' number stitched onto it too, on the right sleeve. Lindsay gave herself another push to catch up to Lukas again, then smoothed the front of her darkwash jeans as she rolled forward.
Whoops, the wheels on her skateboard caught in a crack in the sidewalk, bringing it to a sudden halt and pushing Lindsay forward off of the skateboard. She stumbled, but caught herself, thankful she had chosen to wear her contacts today, otherwise her glasses would have fallen off. She pushed her hair behind her ear and grabbed her skateboard, walking to catch up to Lukas again.

The 'Giant' was back, and being back always brought euphoria, and some little gnome in Lukas' head had always decided that happiness = football. Of course, Aimee was quite important too, but not as important as football. The two were incomparable-Lindsay was number one, but football was something like number minus seventy-four. The tall german whistled 'Bringt ihn heim' as Lindsay skated alongside him in an effort to keep up. The sky was clear, the sun was high (the weather was cold) and Lindsay was in Lukas' favourite jacket. Not that Lukas found the jacket his own favourite to wear, rather that Lukas always thought her girlfriend looked best in it. He had an identical one, but with Lindsay's name on it. She had mellowed him, no end. Of course, on pitch, he was an arrogant, flamboyant man, as usual, but with her he could be himself, calm and self-assured but not some sort of moron.
When she fell, Lukas span round and moved as fast as he could, but she seemed fine and capable of getitng up. It was no secret that he was terrified of the concept that anything should ever happen to the person he loved, and was reassured when she stood. Moving swiftly, the park was bereft of anyone but two birds, who vacated while Lukas got his boots on, switching off his trainers for the studded boots provided by the german national side. They were items of great pride, and as Lukas rolled the ball from his bag, he placed one ontop of the white sphere, smiling. He was now in his element. Starting by simply skiprolling the ball backward, he put some distance between himself and Lindsay while aiming at the goal next to the bags. "Which corner to go for then, boss lady?"

Lindsay smiled and shook her head when Lukas doubled back to help her up, but she had already helped herself. She knew it scared him to no end to think of something happening to her, so she was usually careful, but the same could be said of her about him, and he always seemed to get into trouble, so maybe it was good for him to worry some. Heck, he'd wound up in the hospital last year when they were still in highschool, and that had just about undone her- that was before they were even dating, and the concern had only multiplied when they became boyfriend and girlfriend. Lindsay sank down into the grass under a tree when Lukas pulled off into the grass and changed into his cleats at the side of the field.
She leaned back against the trunk and watched as Lukas rolled the ball out of his bag and moved out onto the field. When he called back to her, asking which corner, she paused for a minute and thought. "Top left- With a wall." She called back. Lukas had always had trouble with walls, so it would be good practice for him. She smiled and pulled a small sketch pad and pencil out of her back pocket and started doodling. She started sketching a rough sketch of Lukas playing Soccer, but decided it wasn't very good and should never be shown to Lukas. She then flipped to a new page and started over.

With a wall? Scheisse. Lukas' internal reaction was one of frustration, since he'd never get it right. There was a reason Klose or Ribery took the kicks; because they were better at them. Lukas was a machine designed for speed and goals (as well as something not featured before 9 PM) and this was a challenge. Being so very rarely challenged outside of the intellectual feild (it is worth pointing out at this point that Lukas was by no means a great intellectual, more of a...prat), it was unnerving to the young German, as he laid the ball down at a designated spot and stepped backward. The problem with this was the total abscence of a goalkeeper to add the extra challenge, although at this point further challenge was most definitely not required.
Breathing slowly, Lukas took aim, envisaging a wall between him and his target. He stepped forward once, twice, broke pace and let fly with a muscular leg at the goal, eyes looking at Lindsay with a look of reverent adoration. He really should have been looking at the goal mouth to see if the shot had gone in, but he had to drag his gaze away from her, with great effort, only to notice that he had infact totally missed, and that the ball was headed for...his mouth formed an 'O' as the curving ball headed towards the subject of his affections and he shouted something, too late as it went at her face.
One of the miracles of the modern game is the ability for footballers to change the flight path of a ball by curving it, and this miracle was demonstated as said spherical object arrived at some pace, it's path just in front of Lindsay and away, burying itself into the side of the goal. Lukas exhaled; had his shot been a little stronger, that white sphere would have hit Linday's pretty face and probably knocked out a tooth. Well, perhaps he was overestimating, but in love people to tend to achieve some quite ridiculous stretches of the imagination. In a shaky voice heavily laden with his german accent, Lukas called over to her. "Erm...entschuldigung. Could you throw the ball over here?"

Lindsay bit her lip as she saw the frustration color Lukas' face. She started to say, 'Or without the wall if you'd rather,' but she only got so far as to open her mouth because then Lukas was already setting the ball down to prepare for the kick. Lindsay then shrugged and went back to her sketching, glancing up as she heard the familiar sound of a soccer ball being kicked. And it was headed right toward her.
It was like it was in slow motion- Lindsay 'squeaked' as she ducked, curling into a ball and dropping her pencil and pad to instinctively cover her head with her hands, waiting for the ball to hit. Though shockingly it hadn't. By some miracle, Lukas had put enough spin on the ball to cause it to curve at the last minute and land just a short distance away from her, the black and white sphere hitting the ground with an innocent thud.
Slowly, she uncurled, looking around cautiously to find the ball, as if afraid that another might follow. When no such thing happened, she uncurled fully, pushing herself to her feet and going to grab the ball. She then held it under her arm as Lukas called out 'sorry' in German, then asked if she could throw the ball back to him. She shook her head, "Oh, nuh-uh. You owe me." She tapped her lips with a finger, "Now come over here and pay me back." She stood in a slightly defiant pose, the ball held on her hip as she waited. After a few seconds, she then bent to pick up her pencil and notepad, stuffing them into her pocket so Lukas wouldn't see.

Lukas exhaled, seeing as how the situation could have been far worse. He was grateful for the hoodie as a chill wind blew swiftly, and but once, and he tightened the cords in such a way that his face was mostly protected from the soon-to-come precipitaition. Little did the pair know of the shiny magic to come. It was near Christmas, (a few days before in fact) and while he hoped for it, the large boy did not expect to see snow. However, as he walked over, frame hung low, the heavens opened. As he knelt down before Lindsay, bowing before her in a sarcastic manner (as well as hitting his head on the ground a little TOO hard), a flake of cold frost landed upon his nose, then another, and then another. Suddenly in a festive rage, he grabbed Lindsay by the waist, kissing her delicate cheeks (there was very little delicate at all about the young mechanic) and laughed as the snow began to form a crisp layer upon the ground. "Ich leibe dich, Lindsay."
It seemed the best thing to say.
(Sorry for a short post. My brain is taxed.)

Lindsay smiled as Lukas tightened up his hood, but bit her lip as he bowed in front of her. When he hit his head on the ground, Lindsay was kneeling in front of him, trying to get him to stop, "No, Lukas! That's not what I meant....!" She looked up as flakes of snow fell, sticking to her nose and eyelashes, her attention having been diverted for a moment as she pulled her hood up, an amazed look on her face as she watched the snow come down.
She looked back to Lukas just as he grabbed her by the waist and kissed her cheeks, and said I love you in German. It startled her somewhat and so she dropped the ball and 'squeaked' again. Lindsay understood some German, but she couldn't speak it and so had to settle with saying it in English. "I Love you too, Lukas. Now would you kiss me already?" She looked up at him expectantly, waiting, her hands on his chest as he held her around the waist. "I'm not letting you go until you do." Okay, so the threat was completely false, especially since Lukas was the one holding onto her, but the idea was still the same, she supposed.
(( Blech.... Crappy post. Sorry it's short and just over-all sucks. ))

Well, hugging her hadn't worked, but Lukas didn't care. He turned his head, leant down, and placed his lips upon those of his lover. Pulling back, he smiled and spoke. "There. Happy? Can I go now?" There was no real threat that Lukas would have left-he'd happily follow her to the ends of the earth. As the white powder dusted the ground below, Lukas ran. "I'll be straight back!" He grabbed his half-open bag, rushing back to get the ball in before temperature shift took all of the pressure out. Putting his arm back around her waist, slipping a hand into her pockets and smiling, shining his teeth.
He really did love her, a little flame at the bottom of his stomach igniting into a great inferno every time he saw her. As the chill winds began, Lukas was warmed by her touch, thinking back to Cali Wood and how lucky he was to have her, the woman who was addmitedly the most beautiful creature in the world.

Lindsay smiled and laughed, "Yes Lukas, I'm happy now. You can go." She shook her head as she watched him run to get his bag and ball so that the cold wouldn't affect the air pressure in the ball too much. As he came back and wrapped his arm around her, putting his hand in her pocket, Lindsay smiled. Of course, her stomach was fluttering about like mad, but that was always how it was with Lukas.
She looked around at the light powder that coated the ground in glistening white, "Well, now that the snow has ruined your 'Fussball' practice, what should we do?" She bit her lip, thinking, "We can Go back to the house, we can go to mall and go to the sports store or something.... I don't know what you want to do."

The offer to go home with Lindsay was tempting, to be truly alone with her. But, being anywhere with her was, by definition, 'kewl'. No, actually, she wasn't cool, she defined cool. Her toenails alone were worth millions. She had a body beyond comparison, combined with the fact that she had the best personality in Christendom, meant that Lukas was, by extension, the luckiest man in the universe. With this in mind, he tried making a descision.
And failed completely. He managed a dumbstruck "Uuuuh..." before giving up. "Tell you what, I'll just sing while you think and I get these boots off." He knelt down, unpicking the knots he had tied around the boots, and not taking any time at all in getting his trainers on. All the while, and afterward when he crept into Lindsay's pocket again, he was singing at an audiable, but not obstinate volume.
Upon hearing the 'sports store' comment, he bolted. "Do you think I am a single-minded creature? For your information, I am a complicated man, not entirely dedicated to football. I am insulted..." At this point, he broke into laughter. "Okay, you win. Jetzt gehts los."

Lindsay smiled and watched as he quickly changed from his boots to trainers. Of course she knew that the sports store would definitely draw his attention, which was why she had suggested it. When Lukas stuck his hand back in her pocket, she slid hers in with it. Smiling as he sang. Lindsay was easy to please, and simple things like this made her happy- just spending time with Lukas.
Lindsay shook her head as he pretended to be offended, laughing. Of course, it took all of a minute for him to start laughing and admit that she'd won. She walked along with him so that they could head back to the house, get the car, and go to the mall to invade the sports store.
(( BLAHHH.... Crapppyyyyyy....... ))
